The wait is over…Broken Robot can now announce the winners of the Energy Vibration remix competition!
We were blown away by the number of quality entries and choosing the winners was a painstakingly difficult process. Indeed, it was impossible to single out one winner overall so we’ve settled for three. These will be released very soon…stay tuned….
Track 1) French psy-breaks producer Peter Guildoux otherwise known as Martopeter’s deep and broody take on the original really captivated our imagination.
Track 2) Richard Carigan aka Mouldy Soul has been making waves on the Glitch Hop scene of late, with tracks signed to Colony Productions and UK’s Broken Records. His funky downbeat interpretation was the only Glitch Hop remix we recieved, but damn we like it!
Track 3) Rory Gordziejko aka Kwah is a new name on the UK psy-breaks scene, but is already turning a lot of heads with his quality productions. This slick, techy workout with it’s winding psy-style bassline and super tight groove just oozes quality. Amazing stuff!

A big thank you to everybody who submitted remixes of Hedflux & Neurodriver’s Energy Vibration as part of our competition. We’ve been overwhelmed by the response and by the number of quality entries we’ve received!
As it’s now February, the competition is now closed. It’s going to take us a little while to sift through all the entries, but we’ll be contacting all the entrants in due course, and stay tuned for further announcements!
The third release in the Frontier Science series drags psybreaks kicking and dancing into the future with two landmark releases from the rising stars of the Broken Robot roster.
An ever-tightening coil of psychedelic energy, with a drop of old skool, ‘Quantum Leap’ will wind your dancefloor into the next dimension. A deep bass loop, crisp kick and climbing melodies combine with the sound of a hundred spaceships powering-up. to send you hurtling down a tunnel of nervous tension. Let’s go, gotta dance.
The long-awaited first solo release from Broken Eye. With mind-melting lazer-funk leads weaving around a jacking breakbeat and a snarling, writhing, bass line, this melodic twister of a track will make you dance like you’ve jammed a fork in the toaster. In a very good way.

From the laboratories of Broken Robot comes the second release in the label’s Frontier Science series, showcasing the talent of two of the most promising producers on the international psybreaks scene – LuQas and Triple Agent.
LuQas ‘Dark Matter’
The deep, pulsing rhythm of LuQas’ ‘Dark Matter’ sounds like the soundtrack to a party in a spaceship that’s heading into a black hole. Computers overload, sparks fly from wires and displays flicker into static while bodies shake and sway in the strobing gloom, dancing too hard to care what happens.
Triple Agent ‘The Operator’
A groove-laden psychedelic booty-shaker, ‘The Operator’ reveals the goa-trance party roots of Swiss producer and DJ Triple Agent. There’s no body on earth that can resist this funky tribal percussion, layered, mind tingling harmonies and shifting synths.

Yes yes! The long-awaited 2-track release from Hedflux, Neurodriver and LuQas has now hit the virtual shelves and is available to download from Beatport. This one has already enjoyed widespread support and both tracks have been driving crowds wild at festivals all summer. Now’s the change to add “Energy Vibration” and “Reptoid” to your own collections.
What’s more, Broken Robot will shortly be launching a remix competition of the lead track Energy Vibration. The parts will be released for download soon, and the winning tracks will receive a release on Broken Robot next year, with all the obvious kudos and increase in sexual attractiveness that will result.
