Arecibo Spank As if transmitting across the cosmos, Arecibo Spank fizzes with the zip of electronic particles over a steady chugging bassline and laidback beat. Funky robotic synths spiral upwards from the breakdown into a liquid wahwah space funk that’ll have any alien life form dancing round the stars.
Check Point With a body-shrugging bassline, Bad Tango drives us through Check Point at his playful and melodic best. Slinky leads catch the infectious tune, picking up into a Tetris-tech melody and a breakdown that catapults you straight back into the groove. You won’t want to leave.

Energy Vibration Remix Contest Now Closed

A big thank you to everybody who submitted remixes of Hedflux & Neurodriver’s Energy Vibration as part of our competition. We’ve been overwhelmed by the response and by the number of quality entries we’ve received!

As it’s now February, the competition is now closed. It’s going to take us a little while to sift through all the entries, but we’ll be contacting all the entrants in due course, and stay tuned for further announcements!

The third release in the Frontier Science series drags psybreaks kicking and dancing into the future with two landmark releases from the rising stars of the Broken Robot roster.

Peak – ‘Quantum Leap’

An ever-tightening coil of psychedelic energy, with a drop of old skool, ‘Quantum Leap’ will wind your dancefloor into the next dimension. LuQas ‘Dark Matter’
 The deep, pulsing rhythm of LuQas’ ‘Dark Matter’ sounds like the soundtrack to a party in a spaceship that’s heading into a black hole. Computers overload, sparks fly from wires and displays flicker into static while bodies shake and sway in the strobing gloom, dancing too hard to care what happens.

Triple Agent ‘The Operator’
 A groove-laden psychedelic booty-shaker, ‘The Operator’ reveals the goa-trance party roots of Swiss producer and DJ Triple Agent. There’s no body on earth that can resist this funky tribal percussion, layered, mind tingling harmonies and shifting synths.

New Broken Robot Release, Neurodriver Mix & Remix Competition!!

Yes yes! The long-awaited 2-track release from Hedflux, Neurodriver and LuQas has now hit the virtual shelves and is available to download from Beatport. This one has already enjoyed widespread support and both tracks have been driving crowds wild at festivals all summer. Now’s the change to add “Energy Vibration” and “Reptoid” to your own collections.

What’s more, Broken Robot will shortly be launching a remix competition of the lead track Energy Vibration. The parts will be released for download soon, and the winning tracks will receive a release on Broken Robot next year, with all the obvious kudos and increase in sexual attractiveness that will result. Breakspoll win, New Single + Free Mixes!

Hedflux Breakspoll Win

What a week for Broken Robot! Firstly, a massive congrats to Hedflux, whose single Mindcell (released on Broken Robot last year) scooped the award for Best Single at Breakspoll, the International Breakspoll Awards! Broken Robot also received a nomination for Beat Label, which is high praise indeed, when you consider it was by far the youngest label to be nominated in that category (the other labels being U&A, Fingerlickin, Funkatech and Against The Grain)

What a month it’s been for Hedflux! Even now as he continues his tour of Australia and New Zealand, his latest single Revolve is at the coveted number one position on Beatport’s breaks chart, knocking international superstars the Stanton Warriors off the top spot. Well done Steve.
