It’s release time again at Broken Robot and we think you’re going to like this one…

“Broken Robot’s rising star Hedflux is back again with another expertly crafted piece of psychedelic tech-funk for your listening pleasure. Mindcell is Hedflux doing what he does best: stripped back techy beats and psychedelic bleeps aimed squarely at the dancefloor.

On remix duties we have Broken Robot’s own RMS & Peak who give the track a darker twist – the big addition being the gnarly bassline which kicks in halfway through the track, and will definitely score points with those who prefer their music a bit meaner!”

Both tracks will be out in May from all good download stores, and are available exclusively on Beatport from the 26th April.
“Loving Both Mixes” - General MIDI
“Both Great Tracks” - Far Too Loud
“God knows breaks needs more people like this” - Elite Force

“Big energy and tight production! Got that rolling techy edge to his music that steps him away from other producers in the scene!” - Dylan Rhymes
“Absolutely love this release… the original is my tune of the year so far!” - LuQas
“Both mixes are really strong” - Hexadecimal
“Top release once again!” - Kickflip

Party heads and dance music fans in the north of england cannot have failed to have heard of Planet Zogg and Illuminaughty – two quite frankly legendary organisations with an enviable reputation for throwing epic club parties in Sheffield and Manchester respectively.
This Friday, these two fine purveyors of party mayhem are teaming up to put on a special event in Leeds, and Broken Robot are very proud to be represented in Planet Zogg’s room. You can catch Neurodriver and RMS & Peak spinning the very best in psychedelic breaks and techno, alongside Zogg residents and a massive psytrance lineup courtesy of Illuminaughty. This is one not to be missed!

Broken Robot number 7 sees the return of Neurodriver, who has teamed up with Brighton’s Atomic Drop to bring you a brand new slab of electro-house fatness. WHAT YOU GONNA DO? is a tune of two halves: the first a progressive techy groove which woos the dancefloor into a false sense of security. This doesn’t last long however before the main breakdown kicks in, introducing the vocal hook from which the tune takes its name, before launching into a monstrously fat second drop which is guaranteed to make clubbers pull faces and throw shapes whenever it’s played out. Huge!!

On remix duties we have called in none other than Sheffield’s finest: Kickflip. His awesome breaks remix of Sam Hell’s Logjammin’ absolutely smashed it last Autumn, and by golly gosh we do think he’s gone and done it again! Whilst staying faithful to the original, bob has put a decidedly moodier spin on the track, set to a pounding rocky beat for those that prefer their rhythms a little more broken. Big!!
